The Mediterranean

Inspired by the infamous Punic wars between Carthage and Rome over the vast Mediterranean sea.

Continents are portrayed with the decorative foil in antique gold, faded by hand. The sea is made out of reflective epoxy clay, where sponges helped create texture. The sones represent ships scattered in the dark waters.
